Bought a Vega tab for my hols
and successfully updated to modaco kitchen v8 i think sorry n00b!
Currently trying to get usb host to work so i can play movies off my cruz 16gig stick also is there a new ROMS for it yet like honeycomb?

I've just moved over to the honeycombe (beta 1.4) on my Vega after enough of the early bugs were resolved (earlier versions had no wifi). Its a little slower than it was, but looking very promising.

Im currently running crovus5 rom and its awesome, same guys porting honeycomb so once its out of beta I'll move to that

I'm running 1.5.1 at the moment and its fast as hell, most of the issues have been cleared up etc.

id recommend it, but only if your not bothered by the camera not working and youtube app only playing standard def and a few other tiny issues......

hopefully this will be VERY stable soon

Hi guys ive successfully put vegacomb on my tablet 1.5.1 its cool but it wont see any of my usb drives when i plug them in ?
ive tried useing rom manager to update the patch but for some reason it wont go into recovery
any help please thanks in advance

Might be a silly question... But have you installed recovery?

I am still on the modaco r8 rom. And will resist vegacomb until they have a stable version.

I have been trying vega comb 1.5.1 "honeycomb 3.0.1"
must say if you can live without the camera its pretty stable!
Boot takes a while but after that its fine id recommend using a cpu over clock, and clock your tab to 1.4ghz as that runs very smooth and fast for me.
Also if you want to load a usb stick when it boots up press the back button that enables usb host

How do you get the overclock ?
I think (unless the overclock is done in the rom install) that mine is still on stock cpu speed.

Just use a over clock stock tool from the market bud, over clock between 1.3 and 1.4
You should be fine enable at boot aswell-
Well the battery may get lose charge quicker but the games play better also, frgot to say search for nvida in the market place for some cool games :-)

tbh the tablet seem to be not very stable and quick when useing vegacomb, also the lack of support of flash player im going to try crovus5 for a while until vegacomb gets better.

I am on modaco r8. Very happy with it until a Release version of Honeycomb is ready.
