Default Adobe Prem CS4 - No Sound

    Hello,

I am having loads of problems with a DVD that I ripped to my HDD. I bought a brand new DVD which I would like to edit. I have tried ripping it with DVD Shrink and DVD decrypter. When I play the VTS_01_1 VOB files in Win DVD they play fine, video and audio.

But as soon as I import the file into Adobe prem pro CS4 - I get audios up until 8 mins and after that just the video playback. I have searched the net and the forum but can not find a solution to this.

    Can anyone help please ?

if you try to run the video immediately after importing it to the timeline, the video wont have run through the conforming process properly.
In your case it looks like its only conformed 8mins worth.

Delete the premiere pro project, create a new one, pull in the footage and let it finish conforming before running it.

There will be a little bar that will run in the bottom right hand corner of the status bar that shows the progress of the conforming process on Macs, im assuming the gui is pretty much the same on pc.

    Thanks for your reply.

I think it is only conforming partly also, but have tried ripping the DVD again. Tried conforming the project many times but still get the same problem.

I have tried to read around the subject and I think that it has got something to do with the sound being AAC or something.

But still have not had much joy.
