Was there for a fortnight last year with my mates. We had a blast!
Check out The Camel Bar, the roof terrace is ace to sit and drink at night.

Whats the prices like in namma bay? Im going all inc at the kiroseiz hotel but still wondering how much I would need for me and the girlfriend.
Is there much nightlife or just a few bars?
Prices aren't too bad. Depends where you go though.
Theres a couple of nightclubs there, they even have a Pacha. We saw David Guetta play when I was over.

As long as there is plenty of bars ill be happy, clubs arent a big thing, as much fun can be had in bars
You'll not be disappointed mate.

Great thanks for your help :-) whats the pricing like for local drinks? Wont be drinking international drinks overe there, dont see the point.
No worries mate.
Local beers are nice, but again depending where you go they can be fairly cheap or same as here. The camel bar can sometimes be quite similar to beer prices here.

Ok cool, i reckon £300 should cover it, probably only be doing the quad bike/dune buggy excursion.
Sugest you do a boat trip for a day we love them somtimes do 2 trips booze n food included but dont miss the snorkling
jag
I'm not racist i hate everybody
I went just over a week after the 'revolution' and was treated like a celeb, interviews for news channels youtube etc. as I seemed to be the only English over there. Tourism had died completely. However that meant all the tourist sites were basically for me and a few locals - hounded by street sellers and the like. However I cannot stress how kind and helpful Egyptian people are, they welcomed me as if I was the prodigal 'Tourist'. Be careful of the Taxi drivers in Sharm - they are the real sharks. Before the revolution it was sort of regulated by 'alleged' corruption of the police i.e. they got a percentage but kept prices reasonable for tourists, when I went it was a free for all but they were ramping the prices up dramatically. My advice if you want to travel is try to get a taxi driver that seems reasonable and stick with him. He will give you his mobile and collect you from anywhere to go anywhere, haggle always BEFORE getting in the car. All the advice above is good, don't be fooled by the prices of cheap bottles of spirits though - they are generally awful. I noticed that you could get an average bottle of wine for 5 ukp and the same price for vodka, big mistake!!!
DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE SNORKELLING - this cannot be stressed enough. It is a coral reef and you WILL be amazed. My 1st time snorkelling proper in Sharm and I was blown away. I love 'the blue planet' stuff but to see it live in real HD 3D is awesome and if your are there it's an experience of a lifetime - it was for me and the wife.
What if the Hokey Cokey "IS" what it's all about?
£5 for a vodka? thought it may have been alot cheaper than that, dont really care about taste as long as it gets me drunk, id drink meths if it got me drunk.
I intend to go snorkelling! Just a bit worried about sharks, id doesnt get called sharm el shark for nothing ;-)
Cant agree more with this! The reefs are simply incredible!
Check out this vid of my first dive there on my last holiday.

Defo do the diving, even if it's just one of the intro dives, you have to do it . Shark scares are a load of balls. We went out there whilst the 'ban' was in place but you could still dive with proper guides. Know a great dive centre out there if you want details.
I wouldnt say the shark thing is all balls m8 it has been seen eating a womans body

as long as you dont forget to get a bigger boatyou should be ok
Cheers casio. What I meant though was that the sharks have always been there but that was the first time a tourist had been taken. The dive instructors I went with seemed to think it was one rogue shark that moved on after a week or so.
