    Info TomTom premium official speed cameras - iPhone guide

    Guide for installing TomTom Premium Speed Cameras to iPhone
    You need to have a jailbroken iPhone with AppSync installed for this to work. It is possible to retrieve and replace files on the iPhone using SSH, but that is outside the scope of this guide. However, you may find it useful to refer to files and folder locations mentioned later on and work out what you need to do.

    Download
    • TomTom for iPhone v1.7 or lower - the actual TomTom application (IPA file).
    • TomTom Premium Speed Cameras - please note that the camera icons can be slightly buggy on iPhone. However, audio alerts are *not affected*.
    • patchYDG - used to patch TomTom application so it will accept .dct files from a key generator tool.
    • AutoActivate - this is a tool for activating map, speed camera and fuel price files, and also for patching voice files.

    Instructions
    • Create a folder to work with the files downloaded above - e.g. C:\TomTom (instructions will refer to this folder from this point forward, so substitute with your folder location, if necessary).
    • Create a new file within C:\TomTom called 'ttnavigator.bif', open it in Notepad, and copy and paste the following in to the file:
      Code:
      [TomTom NAVIGATOR]
      DeviceName=WIZA200
      DeviceVersionHW=Windows CE 5.2
      DeviceSerialNumber=00000000000000000000000000000000
      DeviceUniqueID=AAHBQB2XJE
      ApplicationVersion=7910
      ApplicationBuildNumber=9185
    • Save the ttnavigator.bif file, and then exit Notepad. This file is used to let AutoActivate work.
    • Copy the TomTom IPA to C:\TomTom (we are going to change it so a copy is critical in case something goes wrong), and then change its file extension to .zip - e.g. ttukie-v1.7-vend3tta101-ARMv6&7.ipa ttukie-v1.7-vend3tta101-ARMv6&7.zip
    • Extract patchYDG and AutoActivate to C:\TomTom
    • Create a folder named 'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland' inside C:\TomTom
    • Open the zip file and extract:
      'Payload\UK-Ireland.app\UK-Ireland' -> C:\TomTom\UK-Ireland (this is a file without an extension)
      'Payload\UK-Ireland.app\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-xxx.meta' -> C:\TomTom\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-xxx.meta (Note that xxx represents digits)
    • Now delete the standard safety camera files from the zip file (this will take a couple of minutes whilst the zip file is updated). Minimise once this is complete as you will be updating it soon.
    • Extract the UK premium speed cameras ('Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2' and 'Safety_Cam_UK_PremiumOv2.ver') to C:\TomTom\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland
    • By this point you should have a folder which contains AutoActivate, patchYDG, a dummy ttnavigaor.bif, the UK-Ireland executable, a UK/Ireland map folder, and the UK/Ireland meta file and speed camera files within the UK/Ireland map folder.
    • Open a command prompt and do the following:
      Code:
      cd C:\TomTom
      patchYDG UK-Ireland
    • Wait for the message 'ok v8Patch Applied'
    • Now type 'AutoActivate' (without quotes) and you should see output similar to this:
      Code:
      ________________________________________________________________________________

      Voice(s):
      Map(s):
                    United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-xxx.meta  => .dct OK!
      Fuel prices:
      Speed cameras:
                    Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2  => .dct OK!
      ________________________________________________________________________________

                    BIF File......TTNAVIGATOR.BIF
                    KeyGen Type...8
                    Device Name...WIZA200
                    Application...7910
                    DeviceID......AAHBQB2XJE
    • Close the command prompt.
    • Switch back to the zip file and change to the 'Payload\UK-Ireland.app' folder.
    • Drag and drop the 'UK-Ireland' file and the 'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland' folder on to your zip file and it should replace the existing 'UK-Ireland' with your patched copy. The necessary map and speed camera files will also be replaced/added.
    • Close and rename the file to include its original .ipa extension - e.g. ttukie-v1.7-vend3tta101-ARMv6&7.zip ttukie-v1.7-vend3tta101-ARMv6&7.ipa
    • Remove the original TomTom application from your iTunes library and iPhone/iPod Touch (if necessary).
    • Drag and drop the modified IPA into your iTunes library, sync and test.

    Please let me know if you have any problems and I will try and help!

    Thanks to drdude
