That is the only thing i havent purchased yet. dish and lnb should be here today. I thought id get the wall mount just because it was the safest option.

    Hi
I am in the business and buy sat stuff all the time (mostly from far east), but when I cannot wait for stuff to be imported I just buy from Digitalis direct (not me or guy not even known to me), he sells all the gear and is usually cheap and quick and has got me out a fix several times.
    cheers

Nope. My 80cm looks plenty big enough and you can only see it i you are down the side of my house and in my back garden.

When it's up you won't notice the size as much as when it's in your living room.

What I would say to anyone expecting thousands more channels with a larger dish - you can get most of what you'll need with an 80cm dish. My mate used to receive all of the main satellites including 16e using a zone 2 sky dish, properly aligned. He's lucky in one respect because his dish is really accessible so can be tweaked easily. He's now using a different dish and has fitted many motorised systems and always fits 80cm.

With a much larger dish you will also have greater wind loading, never ever mount a large dish to a chimney either - that's a recipe for disaster.

Get it up on your house mate & enjoy the variety, and while the footy season's off get some vaseline in

I was shocked at the size of my 1m dish when it arrived and it looks even bigger when its mounted as it stands away from the wall to allow for the turn...but you get used to it and nobody notices unless they walk aound looking up.
