My technomate dish wouldn't move my dm800 and dm8000 clone so watch what box you get. And for the extra few bob buy a legit box not a clone. I like technomate receivers but that's just me.

if you can mate, try to get a triax 110, TD110 dish, this is far better for getting the weaker sats and some of those that are hard to "see" like 7W and 26W, this of course all depends on your area and any obstruction in the line of sight.

As for recievers, technomate are brilliant for the price, you can eneven get a cheapish TM 500 or TM600 for about £80 new and these are linux boxes and built very well.

I'd deffo go for at least a HD box m8 cos if you don't a couple of months down the line you'll wish you had.

Im thinking of just starting with a cheap technomate at first and then moving that upstairs and having a hd one downstairs when i can get some money together.

Its so expensive starting off, i suppose it will claw its money back eventually. need a pay rise

Yeah i can't my tm500 although its not hd it does everything i want as i have a seperate dish for my hd and Vu duo + connected to it. As for system sat his receivers are a bit dear a tm800 on his site is £240 im sure ive seen them on ebay for £190/£200

I just find depending on how open your dish is to the wind the size of mine it tends to suffer a bit compared to the sky dish....also if you eventually go down the dual tuner route you can connect both and set one tuner to the fixed dish one to the motorised one.

Have you not considered an s9 HD box as a start off point you can get one for 85 notes delivered a few mates of mine have them and they're very good and stable for the price.

I don't know if you are actually buying from falconsat or just letting us know the box your after but http://satandcable.com/left-categories/hd-receivers do them cheaper.I've had a few things off them and they are pretty good free delivery usually next day with one of those couriers that emails you the expected delivery time within an hour.

I have a tm600 box and it's brill ... But i do want to get a hd box soon so I will use the tm600 in the bedroom .... I have a few contacts that I will p.m you regarding the other stuff when I get back into the uk at The end of the week mate The cheapest hd box I have seen is the open box .. It's on google and eBay
