Has this woman no shame?
"The owner of a new beauty salon specifically catering to children under-13 has come under fire from campaigners.
The Trendy Monkeys salon in Brentwood, Essex, offers manicures, make-up application, facials, haircuts and nail painting for pre-teens.
The owner, a former catalogue model, Michelle Devine, has defended her new venture.
Ms Devine, a mother of two, has received criticism from child protection charities who say her one-of-a-kind salon encourages children to grow up too quickly.
She says her business provides a service for a growing number of style-conscious youngsters.
The salon offers a range of Princess Parties during which the treatments are done.
Ms Devine told ITV news "We concentrate on making little girls feel like princesses."
Dismissing reports of her salon providing spray tans for young children she said: "We don't do fake tans. The only chance of doing a fake tan is maybe if I rubbed off on one of the children."
But Claude Knights, director of child protection charity Kidscape, said that such a businesses risks sexualising children: "This could send out a dangerous message to young people and harm their development.
"This parlour just serves to highlight the dangers we are campaigning to stop.""
