    Default Registering as self employed?

I want to register myself as self employed so I can do freelance web designing.

Ive never had any dealings with the tax office before so how do I start going about this?

Best having a good read then let others who are self employed fill in the gaps.
Only in Britain….do we use the word “politics” to describe the process of Government. “Poli” in Latin meaning “many” and “tics” meaning “bloodsucking
    creatures”

    Thanks to consoles

your best bet is to see an accountant, once you get the hang of thing s you can start filling your own tax returns

You might be better off going through an umbrella company as IR35 might stitch you anyway. Check out Orange & Gold. I used them a few years back and they do everything for you

IR35 only applies if you are operating through a Ltd company not self employed so as long as you can source your work directly it's not an issue.
