I now have an unlocked blackberry (THANKS MR_MAGHOO) i can receive incoming calls but cant text or dial out do i need to pay for blackberry services to fully use im confused thanks

If the handset accepts any sim then my guess is it is barred if it wont make calls.

My daughter mentioned blackberry services it means nothing to me, as far as i know the phone belonged to the guys sister and she got a new phone so never been reported lost/stolen could it be any other reason and thanks for quick reply

Just a thought i only inputted one set of numbers mep2 would that cause this problem?

Just to let you guys now, I too had a virus issue when downloading the reader in the first post so I got the one from here which is virus free (or at least isnt seen as a virus) http://iunlockblackberry.com/mep-2/
