Just had it confirmed by one of the devs that USB host mode still works using the official dock so looks like I'll be staying on 3.2 :-)

I'd better pick myself up a dock then!

By the way for anyone looking, the official case has been cut by a further £5 on the PC world and Currys sites to £19.97

    Maltloaf.

I have installed the moddedstock. But can't find recovery. Should I use software tool, or have I done something wrong?

There should be a recovery 'app' in the app drawer

go in there, wipe data/factory reset, flash zip, reboot

Cheers. I either have really bad eyes. Or it has just appeared now. I looked for it before, and I am close to certain it wasn't there.

I suppose there is the website, but I assumed I would be able to use the old facebook app/widget I used on the corvus 2.2 rom, but its nowhere to be found. tut. Gonna have a scout around and see if I can find an apk of it.

Cheers for the updates maltloaf - any news on whether USB host is coming on this? Have not updated to Vegacomb yet as I use USB host (without the dock) quite a lot for accessing movies on a USB stick whilst on the move.

It's not in yet but they have confirmed they are working on it. They have also said it still works fine via the official dock.

Bought a brand new Vega today (it's all Maltloafs fault lol). Anyway, just about to flash it, fingers crossed!

Edit: All done! Was well easy and more than worth doing. It's like a completely different machine!
Time to fill it up with apps now.

Maltloaf, are there any tablet apps you can recommend? A better keyboard is my first job, the stock one is OK, I just want something with word prediction.

Help!! Does anyone know how to calibrate the screen?

It just went all of a sudden. The left side of the screen in landscape works, a couple of inches anyway but the rest of the screen is properly screwed. I have Googled and Googled but can't find anything.

Edit: Just found this, about to try it if the screen lets me. http://android.modaco.com/topic/327198-screen-calibration-appfrom-ux100-works-on-vega/

    D
oesn't fix it Will have to reinstall the rom and hope that sorts it out.

The default is 120 dpi now on build 6 which is what I was running. Flashed back to moddedstock V2 and about to flash build 6 again.

Seems you do like your games lol. I'm the opposite, more into pointless apps lol.

Edit: Actually, it's still fucked after flashing it back to moddedstock. I think it's faulty.

It does sound (from reading your posts on tabletroms)like yours is faulty. I'd flash back to full stock using the exe from myadventvega and try that though just in case

I can't get past the t&c's screen though. Need to turn on usb debugging or whatever to be able to flash the stock rom.

no you don't. Stock flashing is all done with the hardware buttons.

I'm sure I had the can't get past t&c's thing before and it was because I hadn't wiped data properly

anyway, the instructions are here http://www.myadventvega.co.uk/full_s...structions.pdf
