im just about half way through Felix Riley's The Set-up and its pretty well wrote if a little stop start but im enjoying it, especially as it was only a quid from tesco at lunchtime, the best bit was that the power went off at work about 10:15 and stayed off all afternoon so other than the odd call I actually got paid to read a book and look busy lol
EDIT - @Hangman he has wrote some real page turners and while I've enjoyed them all I would advise you read them in order, I read the Da Vinci code first and while it didnt ruin the story of Angels and Demons I would have prefered to read them in the order, and forget about the films I enjoyed them both but they pale badly beside the books

I'm currently reading The black prism by Brent Weeks, he's a great author in my opinion. I love reading fictional books, because of limitless amount of imagination used to write them.
One thing I do find is (not sure if this is true with everyone) I can't read a book properly unless I can imagine myself in the same situation as the character.

Does the noise in my head bother you? - Steven Tyler.
“If I asked you to have sex with me, would the answer to that question be the same as the answer to this question?”
I'm currently reading Plague Zone by Jeff Carlson. It's the 3rd book of a trilogy, the others being Plague Year and Plague War.
It's set in a post apocalyptic world where a nanotechnology virus that was supposed to cure cancer got out in the wild and wiped out most of the planet. The virus has a failsafe built into it where it will not be active above 10000 feet. I won't go to much into the plot as I don't want to give it away but I've really enjoyed reading them back to back.
American Tabloid by James Ellroy.
Just starting the 26th of 99 chapters.
Brilliant read so far.
The book is set between 1958-1960 and the Kennedy's push for presidency, J Edgar Hoover trying to infiltrate the aforementioned and the Cuba / Castro move to communism plus FBI, CIA, Mafia and Union corruption.
It's brutally violent in places, but also very funny.
James Ellroy's writing style is superb. Short punchy sentences.

Guns don't kill people rappers do, I'm a fucking rapper and I might kill you.
Ive had to put what is left of set-up, down for tonight because I had a book called 59 seconds by Prof. Richard Wiesman forced into my hand as I walked to the car after work, -she thought id 'forgot' it and left it on my desk by accident lol.
its sort of in the same vein as the Superfreakanomics books but I think its more what superfreakanomics would be if it were a self help book, all I heard all day was how good this book is, how it will blow my mind, im sure it could be that good if you need a self help book thats crossed with a sideways look at economic data correlations and statistics. it all seems a little obvious in truth but that said, I dont think its aimed at me. unless carol gave it to me hoping i'd blow my brains out as a way to ease the spirit crushing bordom that reading it can bring on... the bitch, im glad I spit in her coffee every day lol
and carol if you are reading this... in for a penny in for a pound, its not just the coffee... the thong you insist on wearing is just wrong with an arse cleveage like that you should be looking for a bra for your arse not a thong we dont want to see 90% of your arse EVERY time you move its like a big pasty white irregular lard golfball
A couple of of issues of the magazine "club" for about 1975. I like hairy bush.

going away in a few weeks and have my eye on the wilt inheritance love tom sharpes book read nearly all of them now also looking for another fun book for the second half of my hol if anyones got any suggestions
@ Coin-op Gotta say m8 I think Karin Slaughter is one of if not the best female thriller writer, after I bought Genesis I ended up buying all of her others from amazon before I finished it.
I will say though that I'd read Blindsighted first with it being the first in the grant county series that later when it joins the Alanta series and all rolls in to become the Georgia series.
if you start with Broken it could spoil all of the other storylines from the books that have come before it, because its the 2nd in the georgia trilogy (although im sure there will be a 4th later on)
Reading dan browns the davinci code, just finished a stephen leather book the eye witness great book would recomend !

Just finished reading "Is Harry On The Boat" by Colin Butts for the 2nd time. I'm now moving on to Karl Pilkington's "Happy Slapped By Jelly Fish".
As you can see, I've got high brow tastes.
Now about halfway through Simon Pegg's Nerd do well. Quite a good read if you like Simon Pegg.
