Help U-bend washing machine outlet plug

A previous tenant had a washing machine linked to a u-bend under the sink, since they've moved out and taken e machine with them, what do I need to plug the hole - it leaks when water is draining.I've googled but haven't found something to use. The connector is tapered, not sure if the tip was cut off so that a hose could be stuck on.

Quick bodge, small length of pipe (garden hose etc.) blocked off at one end & a couple of Jubilee clips.

Or change the U-bend for one without the connection.

Cover the hole with dick tape. And loosen the joint and point it so the hole is upright.

Its one of the properties we rent out so it's down to the tenant.

Already have a laundry service in house - she's called the wife!

Rather than trying to seal it, I didn't realise I can unscrew it (assumed it was moulded). Will try that and put in some plastic to block it off.Cheers for the replies chaps.

Stick a Rubber Johnny over the cap and screw it back in. Or fill the cap with silicunt sealant and let it dry b4 you re-screw it under the sink.

The replacement part is easily available in most DIY outlets

Actually if you rent it out then don't seal it up as some twat may connect to it anyway and flood your house.
Better to get a Plumber fit a proper Stack, then it can be used, and if its not it wont leak all over your Property.
