virgin dlink router

i have virgin dlink router dsl any one know how i can long in to it i connected up to the laptop by cable and put in the ip address 192.168.0.1 but can not log in

any one got any ideas wont to see if i can use it as a access point

Give 192.168.1.1 a go.

Change your IP settings on your laptop to assigned by DHCP. With any luck it'll pick up an IP address and you can see the address of the router.

if this is the DIR 615 google ddwrt and flash this firmware on the router it will make it the shizenet.

Yep, as eblaster said get it flashed with the ddwrt firmware and it opens it right up.
I was getting loads of randoms disconnects, had engineer out etc, finally flashed the fw and not had a problem since.
