Is there any way I can merge my 2 usb HDDs to act as one in Windows 7?
You could mount them as folders from the root drive?

That would be a RAID0 setup... does a USB RAID Controller exist?
No it would give you c:\drive1 and c:\ drive2
Or even c:\drive1\drive2

Raid0 is what you would want as per brydos post but do you need them to remain external or can you remove the HDD from the case and put into your PC?
No, I need them to remain external. Arghh, I thought this would be quite simple. Having them as f:\drive1 and f:\drive2 won't do Basically I have 2x 1tb HDDs and my downloads and tv are on drive 1 and music is on drive 2. Thing is drive 1 could do with 1.5tb space and drive 2 only needs 0.5tb.
Windows can create a volume that spans across two drives, just not on removable media. You'd also have to format one of your drives and then extend the first disk onto the empty one. Problem is if one disk packs up you usually lose everything.
You may want to look at a quad port usb nas adapter. Ones I've seen will allow you to plug 3 drives in and share them on the network. I've not dug out the tech specs but it might present them as one volume, I know dual slot nas caddys can do it.
Then you'll get the problem of the network speed being slower than usb too so file copy times can take a while...
You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
I don't t know whether the NAS can or not but thought it might be worth looking into. After thinking about it for a while, I don't think it is worth bothering with to be honest. It will prob just share each drive as a different folder...
But making one volume span two removable drives is begging for trouble. Disconnect one a the wrong moment and you could lose the lot...
