Photos Damselflies and "Bonking" Beetles - LOL

Found a haven for insect wildlife only 1.5 miles from where I live. I knew the place was there, just didn't realise it would be full of stuff to photograph, I'll be heading back there a few times I'm sure . It's the first time I've had the chance to photograph Damsels so hoping I'll do a bit better next time.

At one point, I had damselflies sat on the front of my t-shirt. Impossible for me to photograph .

A couple of Soldier Beetles... otherwise known as "Bonking Beetles" LMAO!!

    Cheers Mickey, Cliff.

Cliff, no mate went to the Estuary business park near Speke. I live in Allerton so only a few minutes away. They have a man made wet lands area on the business park and it's superb for bugs

    Right here mate - http://maps.google.com/maps?q=l19+4t...13672&t=h&z=18

Street View here of the platform I was sat on

Great set Ian - the DF's are the common blue-tails (male and females became apparent, as did the soldiers gender) lol..

    Paul.

LOL Cheers Paul, thought there might be a few givaways in the set .

Cliff, you'll have to let me know. It's 5 minutes away from Hale lighthouse. If I'm not in work and not busy I'll head over.
