iPad 1 or iPad2 what should I buy

ok Im gonna buy a iPad probably the 16gb Wifi. (I can tether from my iPhone)

I have seen the refurb iPad1's for £289 and the iPad2 is £399. I will never use the camera feature (I have a iPhone4) so I cant decide is the iPad2 worth the extra £110 or not....what do u think.

Just make sure u can teather bud , some iphones have hot spot feature turned off by provider and charge fee to use . Which is unreal if ya ask me . Just in case it sways u towards a 3g version with gps . Or a android phone :-) lol . I in your case would get a mint second hand 3gs iPad 1. Depends if u worry bout warranty I guess .

Get the iPad 2. It's quite a bit slimmer and a lot quicker and when you come to sell it it will hold more value. The camera is good for FaceTime as well.

iPad 2 is faster, jailbreak your iPhone and install MyWi if you phone can't act as a hot spot.

Thanks everyone, I actually have 2 iPhones (work and home) both Jailbroken so no worries about tethering looks like most peeps think the iPad2 is the way to go...OK next question how do I get a cheaper one

Hard question that mate.. lol.. usually go for about the same on ebay as new ones. maybe a tad less

Simply Electronics seem to be cheaper than anywhere else by about £30. Check them out before you order as I have never used them.

If you know anyone at university you might be able to get a higher education discount from apple. My friend does this over the phone not sure the amount of discount worth a try mate

Thanks I posted a way around this a while ago http://www.digital-forums.com/showth...0-15-off-Apple but unfortunately the discount doesnt extend to iPhones and iPads
