    Help Code needed please

    Hi Guys
my sister had her car broken into the other night and the radio/cd,s stolen, she has just bought one from the scrap yard but the cunt never told her it had a code and when i turn it on it says wait 1 hour, which i assume means wait an hour to put the code in.

the radio is a blaupunkt and it says rover CD32

there is shit loads of numbers on but i THINK this is the serial

    BP216232121042

and help would be really appreciated guys, oh and also IF u know how do you put in the code, there are 6 preset radio buttons at the front, do i use these or the up/down buttons

    thanks guys

    Hello friend

Your original serial number code is 6750...

I don't have the precise code entry instructions for your model, but I think the following should apply

Turn on the radio, the display should show 'CODE ----'
Press preset [1] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [2] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [3] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [4] repeatedly for the fourth digit
To save the code press [>].. The set will now operate (that's the station advance button)

If the radio is saying 'wait one hour', it appears a wrong code has been tried before.. (this mean a 'time lock' is applied)

Just turn your ignition to the accessory position ... with battery light showing on dash... Then power on radio, after an hour the radio will reset, and allow you to enter the code..

    best of luck..

    Hi M8
thanks so much for that, i told my sister to leave the car running for 1 hour today, she said she left it OVER an hour but its STILL says wait 1 hour, so i guess the radio is broke i dont know, ive told her to take it back to the scrap yard where she bought it from and get it changed.

thanks a lot m8 i really appreciate it a lot

    cheers

oh when she brought it home from the scrap yard, as soon as i plugged it in id did not say code, it just said wait 1 hour, not once have i seen the word code on screen, so i think the radio may be fucked but i know nowt about these things

After you have waited '1 Hour' I think there maybe a button to press and it should then ask for the code. Radio's will not lock you out permanently,in my case, button punching after the hour (make sure by waiting 2!) bought the CODE ---- thing up.

I remember a similar thing happening in my Vectra with my Blaupunkt Set.

    hi guys
i got it sorted, no fuse was blown, we just waited 2 hours then it came on asking for the code, the only thing now is that about every minute it beeps over the speakers, and every time you turn off the ignition it asks for the code again when you turn it back on, but shes got music back now anyway.

    cheers everyone

Those ISO connectors are standard but some manufacturers have the battery and ign the opposite way round. Another way to check is preset the radio stations to the buttons. After an ignition cycle see if the preset stations work. If they dont, I am pretty sure the battery and ignition needs to be swaped.
