Just used quidco for the first time ever. Tablet was £333.54 delivered after the 5% voucher (had to pay £2 for next day delivery, presumably cos it's late in the day) and quidco tells me I'm due cash back of £16.58 making the tablet £317 happy days.

It'll be interesting to get your thoughts on it, it still looks to be the best Jesus pad alternative though the TouchPad is feckin good.

I was mostly happy with the Vega except the screen had a poor viewing angle and the RAM was only 512MB

The transformer has what is widely regarded as the best screen (IPS) and it has 1GB RAM, so that's those 2 niggles sorted.

I'm nightshift manager at the local Yodel (formerly DHL) depot, so as long as they dispatch it on time, I should have it in my hands at around 2am

Am I right in thinking that Yodel stands for your delivery?

it doesn't actually stand for anything, but there's a tag line, "Your delivery, your call" which they probably paid some dickhead branding company millions for !

A friend of mine bought a transformer and sent it back as the screen "bled" at the edges. Anyone noticed this?

I read about this in the faq. Seems it mostly affects early units but they swap it out without issue

Quidco gets declined sometimes when a discount code is used aswell, it does depend on the retailer.

bought a dock and had a nice play for 30 minutes until that died too lol. Apart from the uneven weight distribution it is a lovely piece of kit..roll on tomorrow when my charger comes

    No issues with mine...... yet....

Get it rooted and install revolver ROM. It runs very fast and smooth.

this sounds sweet, the IPS screen certainly interests me, mite nip into the local techno district and see if they have any. Is there any way to use a tablet as a PC monitor?

When you say it bled at the edges what do you mean? I've got one and my mate at work has one and they both emit two white blobs of light from the bottom of the screen. I can only really see it on a black screen though. As both do it I've just assumed that they all do it. Should I be taking it back? I paid full price from PC World around a month ago.
