Barring disasters I'll be selling my iPad next week and grabbing a Transformer, I've fancied one for a while but had a play with one a couple of days ago which sealed it for me!!
I still love my iMac but am not impressed with Lion, I won't go into details here but they seem to want to turn everything into iOS at the moment, I'll be going back to Snow Leopard!

Review once I have it and have had time to play with it!

I have a buyer but if it falls through it will be on here, 64GB wifi only, 9 Months of Applecare. It will probably be a virginal refurb/new since it has developed a bright spot on the screen and is off to the Genius Bar on Tuesday!!

Well its here . Yeah im purchasing the keyboard as ASAP. I only bought the transformer because of the dock lol.

The only thing that has fucked me off is the charger. It seems like everytablet manufactorer is going down the route of priority connecters..to some it up the pad does not charge over USB :@ and I didnt get a charger with it..but for £240 who can complain

The only way to get an additional cable is to buy it with the charger which is £25. The dock doesn't come with the lead and it needs the lead for it to be charged..this is apple tactics ffs :@

Yeah..looks like at this rate im buying the offical charger £25 quid ffs and then £80-£90 for the dock :@

Well the sellers excuse was the "the cable is cheap, flimsy and it just fell apart". He offered the usb plug but i said I didn't need it. This was obviously after i read that the transformer plug is USB 3.0 spec and wont charge with a normal 2.0 usb mains adapter :@

Will be interested to see what you think of the Transformer. Have been toying with the idea between this and Ipad. Just think there is more I can do with the Transformer.

You can get office apps for the transformer . I ended up buying an offical charger + cable for £30 delivered from Asus.

First thing im doing is installing this..

I need much more than office apps, I'm a pro guitar player/teacher. I got the Asus X53E-SX399V reduced to £399, the iPad netted me £300 so £99 only. Then I got a Touchpad!

I'm on the lookout for a new tablet now as it happens. Best deal I've found is a 5% off coupon at best buy making the transformer £331.55 delivered, but can't quite decide between the iconia, xoom or transformer which are all now the same price. Aaaaargh !
