NG 3d Downloads

Can anyone confirm the quaility of the 3d movies on the newsgroups, (newzbin) downloaded a few from Torrent and have been shocking. Am a member of the ng's but run out of credit, wondering if its worth signing up for a month to download a few movies.

I have a LG Passive 3d tv, and of the small amount of 3d stuff i have tried i am impressed apart from the films as i said.

I believe i also need to download sbs versions, sorry all new to 3d so bear with me.

Finally i have a PS3 which the drive is knackered, can i still stream 3d movies to my TV or is it only the bluray films that work.

I get the SBS 3d stuff via giganews and theyve all been alright for me but im using Nvidia 3dvision on my PC with an acer PJ on 93" screen, looks great.

yes you need to get stuff that says SBS or half SBS, all the 720p, 1080p stuff in 3D looks pretty decent. The LG passives can actually play most 3D SBS directly from the tv usb port BUT the sound needs to be AC3 and not DTS. if playback is through other means then your fine.
