Navfree Android UK & Ireland is out

It seems it's been out for months, I hadn't seen anything of it until now so may be old news to you. It's not available on the Market. iPhone users have had it for quite some time and has been well received.

I am about to install it and see what's what.

To download the maps and postcode for free go to the store within the app. The maps are about 300mb and take a loooong time to dl so use wifi unless you have a mental data plan lol.

Edit: Took about 20 mins to download the maps, then about 2 mins to download the postcode bit. Seems ok, basic, but it is free. Whilst postcode search works, house numbers do not, well not for the 2 I tried. Oh yes, and it's flipping ad supported. To set your home location you have to find your house on the map then put a pin thing on it then select options then set as home location, bit of a shit way of doing it but you only have to do it once.

Sorry about the late reply. I'm using Adfree and it seems to be doing the biz. For Navfree at least that is.
