Can I use Openbox S10 for

Can I use an Openbox S10 to watch my Sly subscription as I am thinking about getting 1 then when I can afford it I will get a motorised dish and then eventually see my mate about some extra channels by means I will not mention.

I am just going to start witht he box until I get used to it and then move on from there.

But im a firm beliver in dreambox.. I.e. 500 or 800..

So cant comment much further.

Yeah m8, does the job fine. HD for a very small price. I have to agree tho dreamboxes r better, as I have both.

Well I'm starting with this as funds are tight. Then I'll get the 1M dish and eventually c$. I've noticed a few places selling S10's that are clones and fuck up once you update the firmware. Where would I find a legit box?

I bought mine from fleabay, and it's not a clone. You can tell by getting a code from the menu, and checking against a list that I got when I googled 'detecting a clone'

Yeah, I've seen the list of codes but what do I do if I end up with a clone? send it back?

Was just hoping I could save the hassle and if anyone know a supplier of legit boxs.

I've found 1 site that looks ok. http://www.dreambox800.co.uk I've read the rules and couldn't see anywere saying I can't post a link to a website so please don't slate me if it's not allowed

I paid £62.99. As I said its not a clone. I got the sellers ID for ebay, but it says he's no longer a registerd user, doh!! his id was 'adetheprince'.

No m8 a HD dreambox is much dearer, twice the price at least.

you can get a dm800 clone for 140, internal sata drive and a nice image - worlds apart from s10s

Openbox S10 has been ordered, might need a hand setting up but I've done my research so I shouldn't have to ask too many questions

Well, had some bother with this box using my white sly card, found out its because it doesnt support NDS but with a firmware update it will. Problem there is that new firmware has a clone killer in it. Im yet to find a firmware for a clone that wont brick it.

Thought id bought a genuine and its got a clone chip_id

It receives C lines ok but no good to watch my own sly subscription

hi guys got my box up and running £63 its not a clone checked chip id running great with c lines
picture is great no freezing cant moan for price paying £9.90 a month for c lines happy days
new to this but will help any body if i can cheers guys
