Apple TV - no section?

OK here goes in here - I've just got the Apple TV 2G and Jailbroken it with SeasOnPass. Just wondering if anyone's done the same, and what additional software have you installed?

The only thing i use mine for is XBMC. That's it lol.

I only use XBMC on mine as well. It works quite well but it is a little bit clunky... Make sure that movies are x264 encoded or you will get major playback judder....

Handbreak has a preset for anything that you need to convert.

Just getting back to fiddling with ATV, thanks for this. Just managed to FTP with WINSCP so I know the equivalent of OpenSSH is working at least.

Is there a way of installing XBMC from Windows rather than OSX, all the instructions I seem to find relate to command lines in Terminal?

OK, so WinSCP falls over when there's a Y/N option, I've used PuTTy and it's looking healthier / installing now.

Get the latest nightly XBMC builds on it, miles faster and supports some of the better skins without slowness/crashing.
