360 with corrupt nand

I did a jtag for a mate who tried to update it to later dash with a updflah.bin. Unfortunately for him, this update process corrupt his 360's nand. It no longer turns on with the round buttom and won't load Xell with the eject button. All you get is a dark screen. Try with different vga cable and composite cable and to no avail. I still keeps a copy of his original nand. What is the way to fix it now ? Remove the nand chip in order to reprogram it or you could program it in situ?

is there no power on at all?, no lights or fans?, if not he's flashed the wrong smc, have a look for the nand shorting method or putting the power plug in as you press yes to write the image using usb or ltp.

The 3 green lights come on with eject boot. The fan is on too. So there is some sign of life. OK and thank you. I have the nandx that is still in its virgin packaging, will this be useful ?

Yeah m8, wire the nandx up and flash the original NAND back, then once u know it's signing, create a new freeboot NAND and flash that to it.
