Info Sony Ericsson Xperia Play. £149.99 !

OK guys check this out from Hot UK Deals. These are locked to O2 but they will unlock for £15 if you so desire !
I've just ordered one. Seems a bargain for the price of a 3DS !

Almost bought this at £179, are there any real world examples of them being unlockable ? The hukd thread is full of "my mate's mum's brother's dog says o2 do it for £15"

quite a nice bit of kit for the money. Better than forking out on the san francisco/monte carlo or whatever else the current budget android is.

I spoke to an O2 Live assistant who said they would unlock for £15. I've just been on XDA and from what I can gather if you unlock the Bootloader it also unlocks the phone. Need to read more though. Personally I'm gonna chuck a PAYG Sim in and have an extra phone to boot.

I desperately want a sensation...but for 150 I sheets might plug for one of these bad boys.

    At 175g it's a heavy beast though!

Would this be classed as an upgage from an original HTC desire? The specs seem pretty similar?

If you're a Pay & Go customer, your O2 mobile can be unlocked 12 months after purchase for a one-off £15 fee which we'll deduct from your airtime balance.

I've struggled to find any of these in stock at any of my local o2 stores, Whilst I was browsing the Argos site not long ago I came across them for £179.99 delivered.

That's not bad sim free, as this handset is a pain to unlock and will cost you £15-£20 to do so.
