Question iMac 21 or 27 with 2.7 or 3.1 processor

Looking at getting an iMac soon, either 21.5" or 27". I see they come with either a quad core i5 2.5/2.7 (21") or 2.7/3.1 (27"). I have been reading horror stories on the net about the 27" and its wifi dropping out??? or maybe thats old news?? Its mainly going to be used for everyday stuff and a lot of photo handling.. Is the resolution on the 27" a lot better than the 21".. They both seem to have 4Gb memory and decent spec video cards with dedicated memory... So is it a simple choice on cost?? Any advice would be very much appreciated. I have done a search but all the reviews seem to be out of date now.

    Thanks
    Jon

I went for the 3.4GHz i7 27" a couple of months ago, but splurged on the 16Gb of RAM. It fairly flies! The screen is cracking. Not had any issues with the wifi with it.Had some with my mid 2010 MBP though but they seem to be resolved now.
How about a positive LSD story? Would you like to see a positive LSD story on the news to hear what's it all about, perhaps? Wouldn't that be interesting just once?

When you select the model in the online store, there is an option to upgrade the CPU.
