Good luck getting someone out to look at it, i had a problem with my washer last year and called a few technicians who had ads in my local paper, not one could be arsed coming out to look at it, all i got was 'buy a new one they're cheap enough'

    Thanks to ilscuro

If just out of warranty contact the makers. You are covered for up to 3 years. There is a sample letter on MSE that covers this sort of early failure. Loads on here including myself have done it successfully. Goods not fit for purpose etc.

@ vixen it sounds like the controller pcb board or chips on it are fucked. the controller is like a mini pc and regulates all the timing for water and powder etc etc. easy thing to fix, the top should be able to be taken off with a few screws (make sure unit is unplugged) and you should be able to see the main pcb either on the top or at the front of the washer. mark each connector so you know where everything goes back, unscrew it and take the pcb out and look on ebay for a new one. replce the new one and put all cables back on and should be back to normal
