Battlefield 3 Server issues!!

Hi

Anyone else having great difficulty connecting to quick games and from the server list on this?
Every game I try to connect to either instantly refuses saying can't connect, or when I do eventually get something loading i loose connection to server

Hope they are working on this issue fast, could be the make or break for the game if its not sorted out quickly!!


The servers must be getting hammered like, but still you'd think they would prepare for these things

It'll improve after a couple of days, at least you can browse the servers in this version but it IS frustrating. I had my first big score and was moments away from the finish when it crashed on me, THAT is a pain in the arse!

It's become a complete joke now, I have finished single player and as soon as my Batman Arkham City becomes available on ONlive this will be relegated! In fact if this BS goes on much longer I might just demand a refund and feck it off!

Just to elucidate. . . .completely impossible to get a game last night on 360

It is the same on the PS3. Well you can get into games but the comms don't work properly and the lobby system is a joke.

I dont think the servers are bad, I think theres just far too many people. As a business they know that the first few weeks there gonna need loads more servers than in say a months time but i dont think they gambled as much as they should of. They seem to have enought pc servers but the game is buggy lol

I played for a few hours yesterday and didn't have a problem once. I didn't use quick connect tho..

I didn't use quick connect, last night from about 10:30 it was impossible to get on with the server browser.

Had to try a couple of times but things were not too bad last night. They warned on their facebook page that there may be a few difficulties whilst they update servers.

I'm going to give it a go later but my patience is thin with EA, before BFBC2 I had always played the Battlefield games on a PC, BF2 and 2142 being my faves but between their server nonsense, contant bad patches and PunkBuster problems it was a nightmare, this feels like more of the same!

BFBC2 has never had any major problems on the 360 so they should know better!

picked this up yesturday, it was a toss up between this and waiting for mw3, i just cant afford to buy 2 games on the space of a month, really hope i can get a game tonight as the gf will be watching xfactor

Got it on Friday and still haven't managed 1 full MP game - finished the Single and co-op so this is looking like a waste of money. To be honest Iv always been into the COD more but really wanted to give BF3 a go. You will soon find my copy in the pre owned session - roll on November 8th and back to MWF 3

I have had enough now - HMV are doing a trade of BF3 for UC3 for £3 this week and it is what I am gonna do - spent more time fucking about trying to get into games with my friends than I have actually playing - when I have managed to get in games the comms have been fucked half the time.

May pick it up again when EA / Dice get round to fixing it - piss poor imo

A real shame as I feel if it worked properly it would be mint

Got a few games finally but even then laggy with drops, I've just about had it, I very nearly sold the Xbox when I got my OnLive console but held off for this shambles, I'll miss the new Ghost Recon but the way that keeps getting put back it'll probably end up licensed to OnLive anyway, life's too short for this shite!

Shame because once in a game it IS even better than BFBC2, another side effect of this is that some people who've been getting on ok are ranked waaaay above me already and have great weapons and map knowledge!

i have had no luck with this all weekend, still only a rank 3 as i spend all my time trying to get a game, EA are a joke. im not a call of duty fan any more but this might be enough to send me back to it, at least i will be able to play that. its a real shame as well cause once in a game it looks and plays really well. I can now see why a lot of my pals didnt buy it as they all play fifa and say thats always broken at launch.

It IS crap but to be fair the BFBC2 servers always ran OK apart from occasional lag on the bigger, busier maps (Atacama, Heavy Metal etc.) their PC servers have always had issues though, this is seriously disappointing, I'll have a crack during the day today since Half Term is over and see how they are with reduced load.
