...and I don't do birds for various reasons - a short long basic lens (55-250 IS) and the angle of the garden doesn't usually seem to attract them to the right places!
But this sparrow seemed to be caught by the afternoon sunlight here, even though he was perched with his back to to me, on the pyracanthra in the corner of the front garden.
For a none birder, with a very ordinary bird.... Hand-held, no crop.
