need a little help with my sisters blackberry ,
it boots up ok and finds network but when i try to make a call or receive a call it says call failed ?
i have tried resetting it i cant work it out ,
any thoughts ?

My daughters is exactly the same,been on to BB customer support but they couldn't solve it.Tried 3 different sim cards,all the same result.

What is the signal strengh ?

Take it back to wherever and ask for a refund or get them to fix it as it is not fit for purpose

I don't want to hijack the ops thread but with my daughters phone it was bought 2nd hand and worked for approx 6mths then suddenly stopped working?
Some people have suggested that whoever she bought the phone off has since reported it lost/stolen for insurance purposes and had the IMEI number blocked but according to BB customer support that isn't the case.

yea i tried several sims , signal strength is full , the only thing i can think it is would be the imei number being turned off , do u think there might be a way to flash the phone or sommit ?

I wouldn`t go down the root ofmessing with the imei here or anywhere as it`s against the law
