Guys, UPS tried to deliver mine today. I missed it and it says 'Apple, do not leave with Neighbours'.
I also got an email from Apple regarding it with my new Serial number. When I checked it on the apple site https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do it is showing as a 6th gen Nano!!!

I have asked the missus to buy me one for my Birthday, but may not need to now. I will confirm once I receive it. Might try and collect it today if poss from the Depot.

It seems like my procrastination paid off they probably have no more 1st gen nanos to exchange with... so I've just registered the wife's old 4GB Nano for replacement. Lets see what comes

Rescheduled mine for Tuesday delivery now so I can't confirm until then. But if the serial number says it is a 6th Gen Nano then happy days

The girlfriend sent hers off on the 27th of november and got her 1gb nano replaced with the silver 6th gen 8gb nano. The surprising thing was she got her email from apple one day after the nano had been delivered. I think for those waiting there is a fairly high percentage that you will also get the 6th gen nano since all us and canada have and people in the uk have as well. Best of luck to all those still waiting.

sorry to hear that Zippyrude she said something to me about there being a 6 week turnaround that they had imposed. Maybe worth a quick email to them to see since your longer than 6 weeks? best of luck with it and hope you get a nice shiny silver 6th gen nano.

I just received an email!

Cant check yet as their system is down for maintenance. I'm all excited - I do hope its a newer one! (But wont grumble if its an older one)

Managed to find my original iPod Nano, which actually had an overheating battery issue which caused it to not get pass the Apple logo...requested a replacement, so be interesting to see what happens. Worst thing will be that it stays a paperweight lol.

Not bad considering I sent them a 1GB
