Xbox 360 Dashboard update coming December 6th

While many of you have been involved in the Xbox LIVE Preview Program and have been busy getting an early look at the next Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE features, I wanted to let you know that the official release for the update for all Xbox LIVE members will be Tuesday, December 6th. In this update, free to all console owners, you will see:

• New personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile
• Beacons and Facebook Sharing
• Enhanced Family Settings
• Integrated voice and gesture controls across the dashboard and in apps
• Bing voice search (Available this year in the US, UK and CA)

In addition to all these great dashboard features, starting on December 6^th and continuing on an ongoing basis through the holiday months, a wealth of new content will be coming to Xbox 360. New, customized applications for television, movies, internet videos, sports and music will begin rolling out from world-leading providers in more than 20 countries.

Had cloud storage on the ps3 for a while it is pretty useful having my saves backed up tbh - sign in to a friends console etc and I can download my saves - changed to a slim ps3 let me download them etc

New 360 dash is decent had it a couple of weeks via preview program thing definitely an improvement

you would use the HDD for your game saves but they will be backed up to the cloud for safe keeping, a version control would be nice too, so you can load old save games that you saved before you did stuff in the game you wish you hadn't

Have to say the new dash is a big improvement, especially the voice commands which are a lot better. I only need to tell the wife now to take the disc out so i don't have to get up. But on a serious note i can see the integration of voice and apps really starting to make the system more polished than it already was.

Cloud storage for saves and profile is great - I used to have to fanny arse around with a mem card as I play on two consoles - one in living room and one in bedroom. The latest dash makes this a piece of piss.

Don't like the new blades though...
