I've read quite a lot of reviews on it as I am also thinking on getting one and all of them are good. A superb screen (if the SGS2 is anything to go by it's going to be gorgeous), fast response and all of the normal Android goodness. PLUS, I believe Ice Cream Sandwich is due for the Note and SGS2 early'ish on in 2012.
Of course one of the cons of the phone is its size but then why would they critisise the dimensions of a device that has been made big intentionally. If people do not want to walk around with a large smartphone against their ear then they should not get a Note, instead opting for an SGS2, iPhone or comparatively sized device.
I actually just watched an amusing video review from Tech Radar done by a woman who said it was too big. Apart from the odd man sized behemoth, the (so called) fairer sex for the most part tend to have smaller hands so a 5" in length galaxy note is going to feel very large but then any respectable woman should be used to handling at least 6 inches + anyway . By all accounts the actual note taking via the stylus isn't always as accurate as the advertisements make out with it missing the odd stroke but it's not a catastrophe.
One of the downsides for me is that I want the functionality and size of the Note but the mobile phone networks are asking a lot for it.

Cool,I did'nt get mine as the guy selling was trying to locate stock from abroad so I told him to forget it,seen plenty around the £410-£450 mark so should have one again by the end of next week, can't wait and hope it worth getting rid of the iphone 4 as i'm getting bored of it.

These look pretty interesting, looks like a perfect middle ground between a phone and a tablet. I can foresee a few stares when using it as a phone, but lets be honest these devices are much more than phones now and this would be perfect for reading/web/games. It's a long way off but I'll definitely go for something like this when my contract runs out in june.
I am tempted between this, a Galaxy Nexus or seeing what is announced in January...
Just grabbed one from a member on AVForums for £440,will let you guy's know what I think of it when it get's here on Wednesday!
LOL I've have had to charge this thing up twice already as I haven't put it down .
So I have Go Keyboard installed just to make the keyboard a bit better.
SMS Popup
Also have Lookout installed for AV and Remote Phone locating - Free and quite nice.
Minor issues I have found so far.
(Presuming you are on a PC)
You can't copy an MKV file to it via USB. Crashes Windows Explorer, even if USB Debugging enabled. HOWEVER, you CAN copy it vie KIES Air no problem. I have been playing back 1080p files and they are absolutely STUNNING (Make sure you turn brightness up to max for the full effect). That said, most MKV's are well over 8Gb so unless you spend hours Handbraking them down to 2Gb or converting to MP4 (HD), you can't copy them to the Note because it doesn't support file sizes over 4Gb.
No biggy. Just stream the movies direct to in full HD (Of course that depends on if you're on a wireless connection locally or a fast wireless broadband connection elsewhere)
For streaming, I found Red Donut, MX Player and VPlayer all sucked big time. For that however, I am using TVersity - http://tversity.com/ -- Install via Marketplace on your phone and then the server app on your PC. Then install DICE Player for playing the movies. The onboard Movie player plays files directly from the device superbly but can't for some reason play them via a stream through Tversity. DICE Player handles them perfectly fine and just prior to posting this, I streamed a 13Gb version of THOR via TVersity to the Note in HD. At least, the quality of it was immense!
Then it's all about getting whatever other apps you want.
I'm probably going to play around with the OS via XDA at some point and get a different Kernel or something on there. However, a colleague of mine heard a rumour (just that) of Ice Cream Sandwich being out for it next month.
whats the battery life like?
It's all subjective. It's a big screen and I like it bright so it'll hit the battery hard. I've charged it the past two nights but then I've been tweaking, fiddling and playing around a lot. If I were to be without a power source for a few days then I'd probably hold back on the playing and use it primarily for it's phone and messaging functions. That or buy a secondary battery.
I imagine a few days if it were on standby and with a few calls. :-)

Had my note for about 3 weeks now and the screen is better than the S2 by quite a bit. Battery is about 50% better than the S2 as well. No prob copying MKV's via USB for me though. Mega bit of kit. Fantastic for Browsing, Movies and eBooks!
