Never replaced Scholes did they or the keeper by the looks of it ?
Why would Dippers know? Didn't think they were in Europe?
Really embarassing night, have to say. In fact scrap that, the whole of our European campaign this year has been atrocious. You get what you deserve in this game, and we got fuck all. We were VERY lucky to get 1 solitary point against Basle, it should have been 6 dropped in all reality across the two legs. This was such an easy group, and we totally fucked it up. Its all well and good us laughing at City, as I'm sure more than a few United supporters are, but the reality is the teams we faced we should have qualified, all other English teams had much harder draws than we did, and we got the least number of points.
As for Europa League, I'd rather not bother thank you, unless Ferguson actually decides to do the right thing and decides to blood some youngsters. Of course, if we get to the final I will change my mind and whore it like nobody's business ;-)

Last night's results definately took the sting out of us losing on Monday. It raised more than a smile to see the Manchester clubs crash out of the Champions League. The Europa league is only good if you win it but at the same time it is a good chance to give reserves/hot prospects a chance to learn the ropes. At least it should keep the Mancs distracted enough to drop further points after those long hauls across Europe for a few more months.
Best case scenario? One of them loses in the semis, the other in the final. That should keep them busy
Also, on a side note, I wonder how this will effect the January transfer window. Will players want to join the teams that are out of the CL or will it mean that there are more opportunities now that they don't have to worry about buying cup-tied players.
This is turning out to be one of the best seasons in recent memory
Peace!

Fuck the Europa League, play the reserves, we need to concentrate on the league. We also need to spend in January, CM is a must. Fuck it, we need 2 new CM's

I've gone from thinking we'd get knocked out in the final game and having all my Northern monkey mates mock me forever as both Manc teams went through, to topping our group and both Manc teams crashing out!
Someone pinch me!
If you can smell it, it's in your mouth.
