lenovo thinkpad ????

just been offered a lenovo thinkpad tablet thing lol. i think its a 18382bg or nz72buk, thats what it says on the side. its brand new , been sent to a mate who works in IT. he gets sent loads of stuff and asked if i wanted it for £140.
sounds a good buy to me, its just for the wife to surf with. is it ok as i can`t seem to find out many reviews

That's cheap, personally, I'd look into it more as if he gets stuff sent to him, then I'd make sure it's cosha tbh. Not saying anything's up here, but I'd perhaps try and find out more about it's origins.

Dunno about the tabs but I have a Lenovo laptop (supplied by work) and it is well built. It seems like Thinkpad (Used to be IBM) are having a bit of resurgance - I keep seeing their kit all over the place in London of late. At £140 I'd go for it - seems like a bargain!

With regards to the origin it was probably a gift from a customer or supplier - I have a friend who got an iPad and an XBox 360 from one of his suppliers as a Christmas gift last year - although I am fairly sure you are not allowed to do this anymore as it's considered a bribe

Either way, as long as it's not nicked I'd go for it.

I have a Lenovo Thinkpad and an Ideapad netbook, I have also supplied numerous Lenovo products this year and have been nothing but happy with every single one. Lenovo comes top of my preferred manufacturer lists.

thanks, although it seems to have mixed reviews i`m gonna buy it. she only surfs the net and e-bay, so most of it won`t get used. and at £140 it seems to good to miss.
am i right in thinking its basically like a bigger version than her htc desire ? if so what is the best free anti-virus to put on ? will it be safe enough for internet banking ? don`t really know much about these things, as you`ve probably guessed lol

just a quick update. seems like a cracking bit of kit for the money. wife`s chuffed to bits with it. its responsive and very quick on the net . game play is lovely, watched top gear on bbc player and impressed with the quality. slights niggles : not the loudest but ok. everything you want to buy for it like screen protectors are a fortune. so had to buy ipad ones from poundland and cut them down slightly.
overall i`m pretty impressed at the price.
just gotta try and figure out the 3g bit now lol
