I've been following this thread with great interest. So much so, I dug out my loan paperwork and I also am paying PPI so time for a claim

Question is though, my loan was with Tesco Personal Finance, but underwritten by RBS. Who do I send the initial form too...tesco or RBS?

I had a credit card with Marbles....who later on was bought by Hsbc, I wrote to Marbles first and they passed on my complaint to Hsbc.

But would always send to the original creditor.

Just heard back from Egg about mine (they were pretty quick) turns out I didn't have it on either of the loans - I wasn't sure so thought it was worth a punt though!

loan was for £2500, PPI on top was around £300

They settled for about £650, so full PPI repaid to me, plus 8 or 9 years @ 8%

Well guys i really didnt no what to expect as i paid all y loans off a few years ago with hsbc, i had 6 policy numbers anyway, they sent me a letter with an off of £3800.
i couldnt beleive it i even phoned them up to see if it was true,
sent my letter back the same day,
they did a breakdown of the 6 policy numbers all were different, anyways i got my first child on the way in 5 weeks and this has come as such a nice surprise as we are really struggling at the moment.

so if theres anyone reading this thread that has had ppi's get of your arse and get claiming its so simple to do, ive ended up with a very large amount of money for the price of a first class stamp

if anyone needs any help let me no

    3 Thanks given to rookie

hi mate thanks for the congratulations, they received my first complaint letter on the 2nd may, the letter u have received is a standard one i received that letter on the 15 june, it can take anything up to 4 weeks to get money form when u send acceptance letter, but saying that my housemate send of his letters 2 days before me and hasnt had an offer yet, but i have been phoning them most days complaining, also not happy most of customer service calls now go to india, ve complained about that also, call them up and ask to be put through to the customer claims department then they have 8 weeks to make u an offer from the date i sent the first complaint one
