    1. go here:
    PlayBook BARs
    and Download "launcher Honeycomb"
    2. Download DDPB:
    http://www.filearchivehaven.com/down...0Installer.msi
    3. In DDPB, click ADD, find the launcher honeycomb file and select it.
    4. MAKE sure your PB is in DEV mode and enter your Playbook IP and password are both correct. Also Make sure the Item you want to put on the playbook has a checkmark beside its name. Click INSTALL.

    5. Start the app, Then exit it.
    6. Download Cyanogen Google apps from here :
    http://cmw.22aaf3.com/gapps/gapps-gb...828-signed.zip

    7. extract the system folder somewhere safe
    8. In winSCP go to the root of your playbook where you will see a folder named "system" on the right pane
    9. on the left side navigate where you put that cyanogen system folder
Drag it to the right to copy it to the playbook.
    10. Click yes to the prompts that come up.
    11.Navigate to /system/app/ and remove SetupWizard.apk
12.navigate to /apps/sys.android.XXXX.ns/native/scripts” (XXXX will be different for each device)

    13. Right click on "android-player-cmd.sh" then go to commands/execute and do the same for "kill-android-core.sh"

    14. Restart your playbook
    15. Open up the launcher and you are set!

This is what i done mate

    What he said....

Only thing that got me (I was being stupid) had to add the market shortcut to the launcher desktop once started... I wondered where it was for a few mins. Duh!

got a new problem today, the browser has locked up.

I can type an address in the bar but it never tries to load it and i can swipe down the settings bar etc but I can't actually get into settings.
Anyone know how to fix this ? Tried a reset etc. The net connection is fine as the browser in android is working fine.

I'll have a go at the android market today, but I've got some drinking to get done so it might not happen.

    cheers,

    malty

i've upgraded to the latest beta to fix the browser as I couldn't live with it as it was. Could do with android market but my SCP doesn't seem to want to connect.

Will try on the missus' win doze laptop in the morning.

"We believe BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 will deliver a great experience for our customers, building on the powerful performance introduced with BlackBerry PlayBook tablet earlier this year. The software update will add advanced integrated email, calendar and contact apps, a new video store, as well as new functionality that will allow your BlackBerry smartphone and BlackBerry PlayBook to work together even better. For the enterprise, we’re addressing many barriers to tablet adoption, including device manageability and enterprise application deployment. Enterprises will uniquely have the ability to manage tablets from a centralized server, while BlackBerry® Balance ensures a seamless user experience for personal and professional needs and gives CIOs the peace of mind that corporate data is secure. Plus BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 will provide dedicated shelf space inside the BlackBerry App World™ storefront to make approved enterprise applications easily available to an organization’s end users. Together these features will help change the way enterprises view and use tablets."So when could an end user get the new update? We expect to deliver the new BlackBerry PlayBook OS to customers in February 2012 and we’ll continue to keep you updated as we progress to the launch.

Totally agree with you mate, i own an ipad, samsung galaxy tab and a playbook, the other 2 have been given to the girlfriend and the boy, the playbook is awsome compared to the other 2, as i own a bold9900 using the bridge app is fantastic as this mirrors your phone browser so no tethering charges at all, as for the UI it is a lot smoother than both the ipad and the tab and put that together with the hardware and processing power of the playbook you have got an amazing piece of kit.

Whilst I'm impressed with the browsers ability to play flash , tabbing etc, it's not as snappy as the mrs ipad2 when scrolling up and down for instance . Sometimes when I press the hardware volume buttons they dont react instantly (these could be bugs in the beta os2 I guess )
And it's beaten hands down for media players by The iPad - at the minute . Hopefully that will change . Bloody bargain at 169 though

got market running on mine now. most of the tutorials are missing a couple of key steps but the guys on the dingleberry.it irc channel (on Freenode) are really helpful.

I'm at 6149 now with full market access. Lovely it is too !

Still adore the browser. Flash performance is at a level android can only dream of at the moment. Very slick.

    Happy with it.

Me too... market has gone, can only scp on using user "devuser" that hasn't got priviledge to the \system directory to bung market back on there... tried the whole thing again and it's done exactly the same.

I tried "/tmp/setuidgid root /bin/sh" whilst signed on as devuser to try & get privilidges... to no avail...

Is there some process to do the 6149 update?

you need to put the setuidgid line in the scp options in winscp before you connect. devuser then can see the system directory.

this is exactly the problem I had.
