You sir are a legend... Thanks for that.
found the tutorial which worked for me, will link to it here just in case someone else has the same problems as I did
Android market installation and despite what it says, this works on the latest 6149 build too, as long as you rooted before updating.

afaik, the runtime for android apps will come out of beta. I would assume that they will still need repackaging to run and will need downloading from appworld, once repackaged. I think official market access is a but too much to hope for, but I may be wrong

mines arrived
tried liveonlinfooty using my sony xperia wireless tethering and it worked a treat
anybody recommend a good case that acts as a stand as well?
Play and Amazon are both doing the official cases for around £20 (although I'm yet to receive my Amazon one).
There's a thread in Biggy's somewhere...

the 64gb version sells for just over £200 in Kuwait,
Do you think this device will ever get a Gingerbread or Honeycomb custom rom? I'd buy one if it had vanilla Android on it.
I only took mine back as I didn't like the OS and lack of applications. The hardware itself was excellent.

I prefer the os its running, the browser is the best ive ever seen on a tablet... and ive had allsorts! lol.
I now have dosbox running, just downloaded the zip from crackberry forums renamed to bar and sideloaded it.. installed day of the tentacle via scp into /accounts/1000/shared and it runs a treat... Im off now to try & install more dos classics and maybe windows 95
What does sideloading actually mean? Is it like emulation?
been messing with mine all evening and love it
screen is quality i installed the k9 email client tonight to get round not having one built in and it works a treat
shame about the ac3 audio not playing as most of my stuff is in that format
i did some quick video footage today and was really impressed with the quality
If this gets ac3 and more apps I will be very happy. Its such a slick device.
im going to order a micro hdmi, do the usb host hack and BOOM ........... i do have a archos 7 but the screen and os on this are amazing.
ive had a vega, played with a few ipads / ipads 2's and a transformer...... its the os and the smoothness of this thats great! for the money its the best tab if you ask me

If it gets GemRB and OnLive I would reconsider getting one.
I should point out I am still following this thread as its a great piece of hardware and I'm just hoping to read that ezPDF, Repligo, or latest Adobe Reader get ported to it. Plus something like moboplayer for ac3 support.
