NZB issue...

I'm using grabit and I am with newshosting.com.

Been happily downloading most of the day, quite slow admittedly but still going. All of a sudden it froze. All downloads stuck at whatever position they were at, download speed was just 0.00 and message at the bottom was "cannot connect to unlimited.newshosting.com".

I havent changed any details or anything, just done this all of a sudden. Closed it and re-opened it, rebooted etc. but now just wont connect at all.

Anyone have any ideas?.

Was just about to after your suggestion but it's sorted itself out now. Typical, it wouldn't connect for about an hour then as soon as I post on here....

it might be worth checking that you haven't lost any settings in grabit, i have lost server settings after a crash before
colt..

Have you tried sabnzbd? Takes some getting used to but it's great!

This used to happen to me all the time using grabit, moved to sabnzb and I've not had a problem since. Just as easy to install if not easier. Web interface is a dodle to configure for adding nzbs at work etc.

Cheers for the advice guys. On another note what is happening with Newzbin? I'm assuming SKY have blocked the site too like BT did so have been using TOR Browser to access it which does work but is a bit slow. The standalone client has never worked for me, I have the latest version too. I thought this was the way around it? When i open the client nothing appears to happen so when I click the logical button which is 'Find Newzbin' then i get a 'Navigation to the webpage was cancelled' error.

From what I read I should be able to get around the block by simply entering the IP address as opposed to the web URL, is this correct and if so what is the current IP?

I don't normally bump threads and sorry if this pisses anyone off but this is really fucking pissing me off now.

The client doesn't work for me and although the Tor browser works it is painfully slow and darn right inconvenient to use.

Does the client work for anyone else? Just to confirm, I'm with SKY.

I can browse the site here using a university server, will try later on, I'm on sky too

You won't get to any flavour of newzbin on sky without going via a provy or using their app.

Change your DNS ro 8.8.8.8

I'm on Sky and tried that newzbin client cos of the ban - what a load of shite!!

...and you can use newzbin on Sky, cos I'm doing it right now...

Just go to http://85.112.165.69/ and use it like you always did.
