There isn't proof they broke the law there is proof several people on there payroll did which is a totally different thing as they will claim they acted alone, unauthorised actions, maverick employees etc so unless you have evidence of contact concerning this above Adams etc then it would end with them and you know full well they will claim no knowledge. Lee Gibling would not make a credible witness he embellished the truth in the program to say the least.
There are obvious motives behind the BBC digging this all up and making a program now which to be honest to me say more about the BBC than Murdoc's empire and who is pulling there strings, I don't think H's case set a precedent either as he pleaded guilty and to set a precedent it would need to be a contested case.
