    Help dell inspiron 1545 touchpad stopped working - HELP PLZZZZZ

    Hi , my mams just installed panda antivirus , its been fine until approx 1 hour ago , now her touchpad wont work , she has windows7 ultimate installed , ive tried to go to controll settings but since i cant use much else except her arrow keys theres not much i can do , if anyone could please help me i would be really REALLYYYYYYYYYYYY GRATEFUL , THANKS FOR YOUR TIME ....

    system restore..

    stick a mouse in it whils trying to sort it out would be a good idea m8.

    Check your function keys as you may have disabled it by accident , Some lappy's have a button just above the touchpad for enable/disable of the touchpad ... b3

    Too see if its a hardware or a software fault this system you can use the mouse in the bios.

    Power on Press F2 - Can you use the mouse?

    If the mouse fails to work in the bios you have a hardware issue, i would remove the keyboard and reseat the pam rest cable next to the keyboard cable.

    If the mouse dose work then power on press F8 then system restore or use a external mouse to reinstall the Alps touch pad driver

    I've been caught out with that on more than one occasion. Quite embarrassing.

    i took my acer aspire one to bits cos the screen didnt work, i had turned it off by mistake....
