Quickie from the weekend. Rob Tissera and Matt Bell discussing tits...
added my entry, I did discuss upping the compo resolution with mr O and we agreed to change it to 1024, but I just realised this is probably too high for vertical shots.... nay mind.
Got another 400 shots from the last couple of days pounding the streets, so I may change my entry yet.
Yeah sorry 'bout that I completely forgot to change the rules to the new file size.
Anyway now changed so if you and Bert want to edit/re-submit your entries to match the new size, feel free.
For anyone else about to submit an entry, please note the new file size allowed is 1024x768.
Cheers
Doh, I'll get on it when I get back this weekend.
Cheers.
It was my choice of theme this month so I thought it was only fair to keep trying it myself and get an entry in - chosen because public/candid photography utterly fascinates me. I was at the Irish Festival in Manchester last weekend which I thought would be the perfect opportunity but literally every time I took the lens cap off, people either wanted to pose or scowled/turned away. It's really tough shooting in public, takes some nerve sometimes and has a bucketload of disappointment.
I really wanted to get a shot that was truly candid, and ultimately involved people I didn't know and/or didn't know their photo was being taken. Fortunately today a life size Peppa Pig taking the attention away helped a great deal.
Because of how far away I was (on a down escalator) zooming in, I'm pretty sure no one has noticed me on this shot which is a real rarity.
Haha!
Peter, Candid?
I dont get peters photo either lol was it looking the other way ?

Well, it's sort of candid, the object certainly isnt posing or aware it is being photographed...

spot on matethe object certainly isnt posing or aware it is being photograph
...so anything goes?
All sweeping statements are wrong.
anything goes, well if we are realllly allowing the hook as a candid shot, then I would say the shot has to at least have an object in some sort of portraiture composition, which is a stretch away from the actual theme in the first place, but hell, there ain't that many entries this month.
While Mr O is sleeping, anyone who hasn't entered yet should throw in a shot before the closing date.....
