USED PS3 Prices seem low
i was in gamestation today & in the window was 40 gig fat ps3's £99
160 gig slims @ £129.
is it me or are prices dropping fast on pre owned units.
also next dor(cex) had wii for £29
With the economy the way it is all technology prices have been falling through the floor.
Samsung tvs for £300, HTC Evo for £210, that sort of thing.
A great time to buy if you have the cash!
Shooooooo-ryuken!
the failure rate with YLODs on old PS3s is high
yes there is some problems, i have 3 x 40gb fat all from new all have 250gb hard drives in & all in use every day as media player more than games . never had the problem mate.
only problems ive had is one blu-ray drive replaced under warrnty
& my 1st one has a loud fan & has done for a cuple of years. been cleaned inside, new heatsink past & all that, still loud.but never let me down.
60gb phat never had a problem and even quiet as a mouse, and the £5 slim is a slim so no worries there except needing a new bdrom.
I just think all the extra hassle to get a 'special' PS3 to even play newer games (eboots etc) compared to 360 has put people off, hence low prices to shift stock.
Game were selling a 320gb model brand new today for £99....don't know how many they actualy sold at that price, it was sold out by the time I spotted it.
Isn't it because Game/Gamestation are in financial trouble? A mate picked up a matte black 360 slim, kinect and a bunch of games, 2 wireless controllers with plug and charge kits for £200 just over a week ago in Gloucester.
