screen replacement needed for a laptop. advice needed

ive got a acer aspire 5745pg which has been dropped, which cracked the screen ,any good places to order a new screen.this laptop is touchscreen so ive searched on ebay and seen screens on there but in the description it does not say any thing about touchsceen.will these screens work or do i need a special touchscreen one.also whats the best make screen to get eg lg samsung and so on.thanks

Take it out and get the model number. It all depends if the digitiser is built into the display or if there is a separate glass/film which handles the touch screen.

ive taken it apart and it is a separate digitizer touch screen glass panel ,any ideas where to buy i replacement as my search has came back with nothing.

So is it just the touchscreen part that's smashed or the whole lot?

Cant really help without Model numbers. There are hundreds of different screens for laptops.

just the touch screen glass is smashed ,the panel behind is still alright its for a acer aspire 5745pg as for model number theres four stickers on the plastic surround which holds the glass panel none says model number but lots of different numbers on each.

acer dont do this as a spare part ,you cant only buy the full top half for 300 plus vat ,what a joke .its like having a broken starter motor on your car ,then being told you need the buy the full engine and box.

If you can't get the digitizer, can you remove the old one and just have the normal lcd screen and use it as a non touch screen laptop?

thanks all, i contacted a seller on ebay and they said the standard bezel from a 5745 will fit ,so i will fit this ,still a working laptop just no touch screen option anymore.
