Help Laptops charging makes the Mouse pad erratic - on 2 Laptops!

I've googled this and it tends to only happen with laptops that are using those Mickey Mouse chargers from HK.

I have a Sony Vaio and HP Pavilion, both with the original charges doing it.
It only happens when they are charging up.
Unplug the chargers and they are fine again.

Both batteries, once charge last about 90 minutes.

The HP has had a recent reinstall, but was working fine beforehand. The charger also now gets stupidly hot to touch. Replacement?

Models are HP Pavilion 2020SA and Sony Vaio VGN-CS11Z

Happened a lot with the Toshiba L300/350 models. Usually only kicked in after the laptop had been in use for some time and had warmed up enough that the touchpad was slightly warm to touch.

Does this happen from cold boot? Is it intermittent?

Have you tried updating to the latest synaptics driver rather than using the latest driver on the product page?

I've posted about these chargers before. Bin them before they do damage to either your computer or your house. There are a lot on the market which haven't been anywhere near any form of safety standard and it's unfortunately not uncommon for them to burst into flames. They get hot as the build quality is piss poor and they are made from sub-standard components not designed to handle the load.

The toshibas I was referring to use original chargers as do the two laptops in question. I try to steer clear of any non-originals, I once had a batch of Toshiba chargers which turned out to be fake. One day one of the cords apparently sparked and shot across the room. The wire inside looked like horsehair!

    Bin the original chargers!? Why?
    I don't touch them either.
I've watched one melt in front of my eyes. Not good...!

It IS intermittent. But happens immediately after boot. Strangely it is a lot worse when Chrome loaded. Seems to wear off when it's closed. Hence why I don't want to replace the chargers til I've explored all avenues.

As I said, the HP charger is getting very hot after 20 minutes. I think it's on its way out and is likely to get replaced any way (3rd original one I've had!)

My Sony Vaio' charger is fine. It's just warm, but still bloody does it when charging.
On both, unplug the chargers and everythings fine.

I'll probably reinstall windows again to rule out anything unjust (I dont use the synaptics drivers, usually just use Windows Update to get the drivers for the touchpad).
