Yeah but it was missing s04e12

I too have noticed some stuff failing to download on astraweb. I was going to ditch them but didn't realise my 3 month sub was set to autorenew so looks like I'm with them for another 3 months.

They upped 12 & 13 again. Due to the broken NZB. I had all of them before my last drive hiccup.

Just had my broadband upgraded to Sky fiber and was getting disappointing speeds on astraweb. I was only getting 1.3-1.5mb, tried a few nzbs and still only got those speeds. Thought it might be my BB so tried a download from Microsoft which gave me the full speed (4.5mb). Signed up for the trial and got the same speeds I did off MS so have signed up for a month and will see how it goes. For £2.88 it's worth a punt.

Is their a explanation / idiots guide on NewsGroups? I'm 99.9% sure I understand it all but just want to make sure. Also I'm sure I read on this site that you can setup automatic downloads for TV episodes?

Big thanks for the heads up on gibinews - I'm getting 4.5MB/sec on Sky Fibre for a measly £2.88 subscription! Limited to 10 connections but this is no problem at all :-)

Keep us posted on your completion rates on Gibinews, I think they are pretty new to providing usenet (Since 2009 by the looks) and not many reviews around.

    --EDIT
    Robbed from elsewhere -
It appears connections to their news server is going into a server with OVH, a large web hosting company out of the UK.
»www.ovh.co.uk/dedicated_servers/ Prices are fairly cheap for a 1 Gbit or 10 GBit box.
    MORE Discussions on DSLReports

Not sure if it will last for too long seeing they are using a resellers webserver/backbone. The price is too good to be true, but time will tell.
While it's there, it may as well be used.

Yep will let you know how it goes. The only stuff I've got queued at the minute are 65 days and 10 days old respectively so can't imagine there being any incompletes.

pulling of any UFC content is really getting annoying, I usually watch the PPV events live on ESPN but its a pain trying to grab ultimate fighter episodes as its usually automated by sick beard.

does anyone know of any servers which are not getting the DMCA requests?

That's the company which is issuing all the dmca takedowns for UFC related media

Apparently they are scouring forums, nzbmatrix etc and any servers which get mentioned which aren't effected by the dmca takedowns get flagged for the next UFC event

    Thanks to pheonixsingh

they tweeted on Friday saying they haven't got the money to continue. They also aren't confident that people will get their money back either as they haven't got any.

Anyone having really bad speeds with astraweb. Currently downloading at 12/13mb should be getting 120mb.

My speeds are fine but i'm getting lots of files that are saying out of my retention period or ones that are incomplete. Been trying to get a copy of Dredd or Flight for a bit but no joy. Anyone else having issues?

Most new releases are taken down within a day or so . You have to be quick or catch a repost . Or use a provider that's slower to take down as suggested previously in this thread as I recall

You know he grew up as a little shitspark from the old shitflint and then he turned into a shitbonfire and driven by the winds of his monumental ignorance he turned into a raging shitfirestorm. If I get to be married to Barb I'll have total control of Sunnyvale and then I can unleash the shitnami tidal wave that will engulf Ricky and extinguish his shitflames forever. And with any luck he'll drown in the undershit of that wave. Shitwaves.
