    Question Jumping foxes?

Just been out on my bike and going down the side of the golf course and I saw a fox. I see them uite regularly down there at night but the thing with this one was it ran across the road in front of me towards a house and jumped onto the garden wall, about 3 feet or more, landed and then jumped off again. That was the last I saw of it...

    Do they jump like cats?

I would assume that any animal can jump (especially 4 legged) and the have a tail which would indicate balance aid for jumping...

Well it struck me as odd. I kinda wanted folk to say no so I could tell The Mail about the mutant jumping foxes that live by me.

Yes they do jump. Had a family in the field at the back of my house and the little ones jump around like rabbits. Adults are will known to sleep on shed roofs so can obviously get fairly high.

Foxes are nuts at jumping. Where I live which is actually a suburban area so not like countryside or anything, I see a fox on average every other day. In fact when I was taking that moon and clouds photo last night, one ran past our front drive. I do have about 5 parks and public garden areas within half a mile of my home so there are hundreds of foxes

See them scaling all sorts of fences.

We have some 6' fence panels with gravel boards and often we get them in our garden and they jump over the fence panels (well jump and then scramble over them)
Don't take life seriously. It isn't permanent.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog

Definitely can jump, think of fox hunting where they chase it across fields.

It's so they can jump into an infants room, to eat them.
