Replacement Kindle Screen

Now then chaps,

Our lass has just dropped her kindle 4 and cracked the screen, the image now bleeds everywhere and it's obviously unreadable,

Does anyone know a good, reliable and cheap source for a replacement screen please?

Have you tried amazon to replace it I know they are really good on returns etc. say it stopped working or something.

It's kinda obvious its been dropped cos the case was scratched as it skidded across the drive.

Agree with the above. My ex broke her screen and contacted Amazon. They replaced free of charge. She told them the truth, that she sat on it.

The thought of any gadget skidding across the drive terrifies me!! If it happened to a gadget of mine I'd be distraught lol

Glad I read this. My Kindle screen (3G) packed in yesterday. No visible signs of damage. Gonna post it off today.

Mine went a while ago, it had been packed in the middle of my bag and nothing else had been damaged, but half the screen was fecked and half fine - gave them a call and they had a new one in my hand the next day!

I've read they don't take any pressure at all well - but you can't argue with that service at all!

Just got off the phone with Kindle Support. Very, very nice people. They are sending me a new one and I have to send mine back. I have a hard case on my Kindle so not sure what happened but at least their support is awesome! Very happy and a lot of companies can take a leaf out of their book (no pun intended). My replacement will arrive Thursday.
