I keep coming back to this thread because I can't get the S3 bug out of my system. My mate came round today with an S2 and I thought that was pretty nice. I treated myself to a new 4S but I'm finding my eyes are so rubbish these days and I'm struggling to see shit. I'm forever double tapping to zoom text and pictures. I've had nothing but iPhones since the 3G but time for something bigger I think, so going to sell/trade this and take a gamble on one. Looking at videos on YouTube the S3 looks the bollocks for media and browsing. Yeah, looks a bit big for a pocket, but you can't have everything. I take absolutely shit loads of photos, and the 4S is a superb camera, but I can't see the bloody photos half the time!

had my s3 for two weeks now and missus has a 4s the size thing goes out of your head after a few days

using mine for a while now cant imagine going back to a small screen its not too big if fits in a pocket easily

Your going to get a lot of phone for your money at the moment. I've had iPhone's since day one but since I got hold of an S2 I'm not likely to go back to one for a long while. The S3 is superb for browsing and even a few films are easily watched on that gorgeous screen. Size after a while is not an issue you get used to out pretty quickly. Helps if you have big hands too lol.

Tried a few different roms tonight but have ended up going back to the wanalite jb Rom and add holo lock for the JB lock screen

As for owning a s3 my last 4 phones have been I phone's 3g,3gs,4 and the 4s and I had every intention of getting the 5 until they announced what it was going to be and it wasn't any different all be it a bit bigger. I so thought I'd give this a try and to be honest I haven't looked back. I'm not e en sure I would go back to ow either unless ios had a major overhaul.

You soon get used to the screen size and end up loving it when I hold the wife's 3GS it just feels too small now

I had exactly the same issue.. it was strange when put to the ear but I cant imaging having a smaller phone now. Used my mates iphone 4s the other day and it was weird how small it was.. Cant beat the s3 for that money..

Thinking of moving to the S3 from an iphone but never used android before.

Do the new LTE versions coming out have any other different specs...faster etc?

Does the phone have to be rooted to install cracked apps? When an app update is available, would i have to wait for a cracked version to be released to do the update? and when updated would i lose any settings, game scores etc?

Picked up a titanium model from t-mobile.

Not had it long but absolutely love it over the iphone already - so much more customisation plus I added a 32gb SD!

Doesnt have to be rooted to install cracked apps mate, just custom roms.

Rootbox or CodefireX are pretty decent roms for the international S3, runs smoother without the extra gumf from samsung

I'm using the latest wanamlite on my s3 it keep some of the Samsung features like smart rotation and smart stay but gets rid of the shit you don't need

Yes.

I used the S3 toolbox to root mine. Easiest root I've done so far. It's come on a lot from the old rooting ways...

You can then use root uninstall to remove the samsung and operator apps. Then you can change the launcher, I recommend Holo launcher and the 7 icon dock. It looks fantastic. There are some pics of it in this thread.

You can change the rom completely. I am on the supernexus rom. Build 5. I like the fact it is running 4.1.2. And I can use it every day. But it isn't as good as when I had the samsung rom with the bloat removed and the Holo Launcher. I also changed to the siyah kernel, which can be done on my current rom too. Which makes a big difference. I need to try it on my current rom, actually.

I had a look at CM10 but some comments suggest it reduces the quality of the camera - not too sure if I'm comfortable with that.

I got an S3 two days ago and it doesn't seem that big as I had a Note previously. Got to say though it's the best phone I've ever had. It really does rock in all departments. It almost makes me feel sorry for the Apple Sheep. Almost. ....
