Samsung Galaxy S3 whos getting one?

I went from 4S to S3 purely because I got bored of iOS. I didn't like the S3 at first but it is growing on me. The predictive text is a pain in the arse and I find myself having to correct my mistakes a lot more on this than I ever did on my iphone. The screen is excellent though especially when watching videos. The os takes getting used to and I haven't even touched the surface of that yet. Is is much more customizable than the iphone. Still not sure if I will keep it yet. Will make my mind up once iphone 5 is out.

I'm in two minds about it. I currently have an iPhone 4 and my contract is now due for renewal, do I wait for the iPhone 5, wait to see what happens with WP8 or go for the GS3. Has anyone moved from the iPhone 4 to android and if so how did you find it?

Your better going down to a Carphone warehouse and getting a good play with the OS. I've had an iPhone since they came out but the UI bores me now compared to Android. I love the bigger screens and Satnav etc and i like the feel of the Google Play store which feels more grown up compared to the app store. You would really have to get an S3 in the shop and compare it to your 4.

There are arguments for both sides being better but it's upto you how you think you'll like it.

After having a play in the Vodafone shop, I love the screen size and quality. Ive gone for it, did my upgrade through quidco so £150 cash back on £36 pm contract with free S3 (600mins, unlimited texts, 1mb data)

I expect it to arrive by Tues/Weds.

The downside is my 12 year old daughter won't stop asking me to give her my old iPhone 4

Im looking forward to playing with it, I will need a good sat nav for the S3 as I do a lot of driving for my job, anyone have any recommendations?

Couldn't agree more. This was my first Android phone and I hated the keyboard. Swiftkey was recommended to me on here and It's as good as the iPhone one.

If anybody is looking for a decent car mount try this, managed to get one of the ibolt docks when they came back in stock and its great for the car. Puts the phone in driving mode so you can use s voice and works really well. Charges phone from USB on car radio and also comes with an aux cable for using stereo. Works perfectly with a case fitted too :

have an S3 now and in general love it however i have a couple off sigiicant problems with it. both involving bluetooth. If im conected to my car, nissan connect system, and i set it to play music via bluetooth it disconnects after a few seconds. Also it wont auto connect to my car sometimes, i wll need to actually restart the phone to get to get it attached. That said love the phone and since got it ive got my niece, daughter and her boyfriend to get one. :-)

I have a problem on mine. Emails load up in html only. I have to scroll down to the bottom and select load more details to load the email properly.

I loved my S3. It died overnight this week though. Charged before bed, and fine. Left it next to my bed when I went to sleep, woke up in the morning and it was dead. Gutted. I imagine it is a hardware issue, as nothing at all is working. I have rooted it, but if its dead they hopefully won't know.

Ive had mine now for about a month, previous phone was an iPhone 4. Although it is a good phone I still don't think android is as good as ios. Not decided yet but might move back to ios when the iPhone 5 is released.

I very strongly feel completely opposite. Everyone I know who has left iOS for Android prefers it.

OK. So the issue with my S3 was the Main PCB, apparently. I have just got it back..... They didn't notice the root, so repaired it.... AND.... I have now rooted it and installed a JellyBean rom.

mine is on the Wanamlite rom as it's samsung enough to be properly hardware supported. The jellybean rom is still a bit early for my liking.

No need for rooting for as yet, but sure the time will come - it did with my S2 (boredom).

as for rom, i'm currently using wanamlite 3.2

a perfect mix of samsung and custom imho
